Email hello@nightink.app — a real person reads it.
There is no reset, and this is the one piece of bad news on this page. Nightink has no account and no server, so there is nothing to email a reset link to and nobody who can let you back in — which is the same reason nobody else can read your diary either.
The only way back in is to reinstall the app, which erases everything. If you have a backup file, you can restore from it afterwards.
On the old phone: Settings → Back up now. Save the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone — Files, Drive, or email it to yourself.
On the new phone: install Nightink, then Settings → Restore from a backup and pick that file. Entries, photos, moods and tags all come back. Nothing is overwritten without asking.
Settings → Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.
If it still says nothing was found, email us with the store receipt and we will sort it out.
Not if it is the same store account — Restore purchase will unlock it. Across platforms, Apple and Google are separate stores and separate purchases; we have no account system that could bridge them, which is the trade for having no account system at all.
Stored inside the app on your device. They are included in a full backup, so a backup file is larger than you might expect — roughly 300KB per photo.
If photos have disappeared after a long time away, your phone may have cleared the app's storage under disk pressure. Backing up regularly is the protection, and the app will nag you if it has been more than a month.
Yes. Tap the date at the top and pick any past day. The header turns to WRITING FOR so you cannot forget, and returns to today once you save.
Email hello@nightink.app with your device, your OS version and what happened. Screenshots help. Please back up first if the problem involves your entries.
